Kent County Council Election Results 2017
As from 4 May 2017, boundary changes mean that the entire SLRA area is included in the Kent County division of Ashford Rural West. (Prior to this, part of the area was in Ashford Central division).
Results for Ashford Rural West division:
Charlie Simkins (Con) (picture right) has retained Ashford Rural West Division with a majority of 2,201. He secured 63% of the votes. The turnout was 31%.
In 2013, Charlie Simkins won the seat for the Conservatives with 43.9% of the votes; turnout was 28.2%
In 2009, Richard King won the seat for the Conservatives with 65.1% of the votes; turnout was 40.8%.
In 2005, Richard King won the seat for the Conservatives with 55% of the votes; turnout was 68%.
