Electricity Supply
Residents have a choice of electricity supplier in the competitive market. However, all electricity in this area is delivered by the same company, UK Power Networks, who own and operate the local electricity network.

If you experience a

power cut

and wish to contact the network company, dial 105 free from any land line or mobile phone and you will be connected, in this area, to UK Power Networks.

Their alternative contact details are:

Tel: 0800 316 3105
Text: POWER and your postcode to 80876
Website: www.ukpowernetworks.co.uk/powercut. This website has an option to enter your mobile phone number and receive messages updating you on progress in resolving the power cut.

You can also call 105 if you spot damage to electricity power lines and substations that could put you, or someone else, in danger. If there’s a serious immediate risk, call the emergency services too.

If you are dependent on medical equipment, have a disability, are elderly or have small children, you can ask to be on the Priority Services Register, which will result in you getting extra support during any power cuts.
