Goat Lees ward
Goat Lees ward is a new ward, partially replacing the former Boughton Aluph & Eastwell borough ward. It includes a small part of the SLRA area (5 properties in Faversham Road).
The councillor elected is Winston Michael (Ashford Independent), with a majority of 519. He secured 82.8% of the votes. The turnout was 37.98%.

In 2015, Winston Michael (Ashford Ind) won Boughton Aluph & Eastwell with a majority of 430 and 56.6% of the votes; turnout was 65.5%.
In 2011, Winston Michael (Ashford Ind) won Boughton Aluph & Eastwell with a majority of 34 and 38.9% of the votes; turnout was 43.9%.
In 2007, Rita Hawes won Boughton Aluph & Eastwell for the Liberal Democrats with a majority of 309 and 69.5% of the votes; turnout was 39.8%.
In 2003, Rita Hawes won Boughton Aluph & Eastwell for the Liberal Democrats with a majority of 236 and 71.6% of the votes; turnout was 29.9%.
Downs West ward
Downs West ward now includes 99% of the SLRA area (all except 5 properties in Faversham Road).
The councillor elected is Larry Krause (Con), who retained his seat with a majority of 265. He secured 62.4% of the votes. The turnout was 37.4%.

In 2015, Larry Krause won Downs West for the Conservatives with a majority of 462 and 67.4% of the votes; turnout was 67.8%.
